Don’t you hate it when you are working on an inherited model and there are so many formulas you need to go through to understand the workings of the model? Yeah, I also hate when that happens. It could be such a pain having to enter every single cell in excel to audit the formulas. Thankfully, excel allows an overview of all formulas in a worksheet if you know the right key combination. In today’s post, we would take you through how to see all formulas in a worksheet in a single view.
Show all Formulas in a Worksheet
As already established above, knowing how to show all formulas in a single view could help you save time understanding a model. All you need to achieve this is a simple combination of two keys. We would show you in two simple steps below:
Step 1: Press Ctrl + ` to display all formulas in the worksheet you are working on.
Step 2: To hide all formulas, simply press the same combination Ctrl + ` again
Using the Formula tab
In case you cant find the grave accent key ( ` ) on your keyboard, you can achieve the same result by using the formula tab. To do this, navigate to the formula tab and click Show Formulas
Result: You can see all the formulas at a glance
To hide all formulas, simply click the same show formula and your worksheet reverts to normal.
That’s all folks, remember to save yourself some time when auditing formulas in a model by using this hack.
